South Students: Volunteer Training

New & Prospective South Campus Students Volunteers!!

Join me (Peter Shenk - S. Campus Student Director) and some of our current volunteers as we learn what it takes to disciple middle and high school students in our context! Our goal is to equip and prepare leaders for a new season of student ministry at Gateway South, to introduce you to other members of our growing team, and to identify ways that everyone can use their God-given gifts, talents, and resources to pour into the next generation and their families. We will combine sharing training information with actual practice opportunities to help build retention and confidence.

We'll touch on topics such as:
• What is discipleship to Jesus and why it's everything
• Gen Z & Gen Alpha insights / trends
• Student and leader safety
• Facilitating good group conversations
• How to engage and disciple students outside of Sundays
• Setting healthy boundaries and discipline
